"It should go without saying that The Social is and always has been a venue where everyone is welcome. However you look, whoever you love, we are proud to say that the bar (and the club before it) welcomes you.
But this is 2025 and the world has gone mad. Last weekend, Central London attracted thousands upon thousands of people who allowed their hatred to be amplified around the world. We may exist completely outside of that horrible bubble but we can’t help but be affected by it.
So this is us, stating the facts once more.

As a venue, we’re always looking for ways to work with good causes. The quickest and easiest way on the Tuesday after last weekend is to print a t-shirt and donate all profits to Hope Not Hate, who are currently actively engaged in stopping the growth of Reform. We are going to try to do regular charity t-shirts with artists whose work we love who feel the same as us.

This first t-shirt takes a slogan famously used the Spanish Civil War which translates as ‘they shall not pass’ - an anti fascist cry used to inspire resistance in the period before WWII. The same slogan was used by British anti-fascists during the Battle of Cable Street in 1936.
